World War Z - Release June 21, 2013

United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to decimate humanity itself.

I know this is based off of the book World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks. Tomikaze read that book and told me it was great.  Unfortunately, since they are now making this a movie, it just guarantees that I will never read that book.

I know I know, the book is so much better than the movie.  Let me just be honest with you, I don't give a crap.  Of course the book is so much better than the movie.  But the book will take me like 10 days to read and this movie will only take me an hour and a half to watch.  I know that you have been waiting the three years this movie has been in production to talk about "how much better the book is than the movie". Well, it is your turn to shine.  Tell me about how great the book was, and how they left so many parts out and how blah, blah, blah.  No one cares.

Here is a little game you can play.  After they release this movie go talk to someone that read the book.  Let them tell you how much better the book was.  Then ask them this questions - What are the last ten books you have read?  You know what will happen, something very surprising.  You will find out that World War Z is one of only maybe 6 books they have read since high school.  They will list the Harry Potter books, then the Twilight books, but as soon as they say "To Kill A Mockingbird", punch them right in their stupid mouth.

Punch them in the mouth and then yell "ZOMMODS.COM" .  We could use the publicity.  Positive or Negative, we will take it.

What do you think?  Are you excited for this movie?  How will it compare to previous zombie flicks?

For as much time as this has spent in production and the amount of scenes that needed to be reshot just so the film would make sense tells me that while the visuals might be impressive the story is going to feel like it barely holds together.
